Balance A Ladylike Top With Leather Pieces

Feminine pieces are necessary in every woman's wardrobe and while ladylike separates obviously work well when worn together but add a little edge to those ladylike pieces with leather pieces.
Pairing blazers with leather leggings or buttons up with leather skirts. This keeps the class but still add the fun, edgy look.

That Outfit Is Far OUt, Man!

The late sixties and early seventies were a historical turning point in our country. The overall feel of America
changed. This fall that time period is influencing our way of dress again. Fashion designers are incorporating
the "flower child" feel to their lines. In almost any store you can find flare jeans, bohemian jewelry and crochet bags. If you want the head to toe feel just copy Mary-kate Olsen's entire outfit. If that is too much for you just add a turquoise bracelet and a crotchet bag.

$39,000 For A Back Pack??!!

Apparently not every one is being affected by this country's finical crisis. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have a new crocodile bag for their line The Row. This item cost $39,000!! That sounds crazy to the average ear but what is even more astounding is that there has been two pre-orders placed for it already. Ashley is pictured with it and its a great looking bag but i don't know if its worth that price.

Elongate Your Legs !

Not only does nude shoes match everything but it is a perfect way to make your legs look longer. The tone of the shoe is so close to the tone of the skin it makes your legs look like they are cascading down to the floor instead of chopped off at the ankle.

CoCo Chanel

Parisian Gabrielle "CoCo" Chanel, the founder of the famous fashion brand Chanel, is a French designer whose modernist philosophy, menswear-inspired fashion and pursuit of expensive simplicity made Chanel an important figure in the 20th century fashion. Chanel began an affair with French textile Balsan who showed her "the rich life": diamonds, dresses and pearls; Chanel began designing hats as a hobby, and after discovering her enjoyment of designing, she left Balsan. In 1909, Chanel began a relationship with Balsan's friend Chapel who financed and opened Chanel's first shop and his own clothing line. His jersey blazers inspired the creation of the Chanel look.
In 1924, Chanel made an agreement with the Wertheimer brothers, Pierre and Paul, directors of the eminent perfume house Bourgeois since 1917, creating a corporate entity, "Parfums Chanel." The Wertheimers agreed to provide full financing for production, marketing and distribution of Chanel No. 5.

A Little Bit of Sugar and Spice

Sometimes we get so stuck in one type of style that we don't mix and match. The best way to balance an outfit is to have some feminine pieces and some masculine pieces. Some of the best
dressed celebrities follow this rule and no other one. For instance it is alright to
wear the ruffle dress with a leather jacket. You can also wear a fur coat with
jeans with a flared leg. Take a tip from Rihanna and try menswear with a
girly skirt.

Curl It Up

Try curly hair for a night out. It is expressive and bold. No matter what the decade it always looks fashion forward. If you don't want to damage your hair try a wig or extension. Also no two curls are alike so your hair will be unique every time you curl it and never look like another person's curls. For a polished look you can wear loose curls, while for a edgy approach you can try the kinky curls.

Being Polite Is Always In Style

People think that style is only about fashion. The truth is that style is about how you carry yourself and treat others. You never know who is watching you. You can make or break important relationships by your attitude. So as the saying goes treat others how you would like to be treated. Smile and be pleasant to people you don't know, hold the door open for someone or even help someone when they drop things. Wouldn't you want someone to do that for you as well? For you to be a woman leader, you must LEAD the way.

Happy Fourth !

Show your patriotic side with your red, white and blue. You can keep it cute, fun and classy with polka dots and solids together or a polka dots dress. Happy Fourth of July !

Accesorize Boldly

It is true that an accessory can make or break an outfit, so a lot of time should be put into finding the right one. With that said they should also be fun and express your personality. One area to start with is your earrings. Owl earrings are great for an eccentric bohemian look. A classic girl will love bow earrings. Someone who had a lot of sass can pull off large hoop earrings. While a rocker chick can sport spike hoops.

Keeping Whites White

Not too long ago there was a post about wearing whites. The only problem with that is that white gets dirty real easy. So here is a couple pointers on keeping your whites at their whitest. The first trick is to soak the stain in hydrogen peroxide. You can dilute it in water if you wish. Another is to wait until the washer machine is full of water then put two aspirin in the water. The last tip is to soak the piece of clothing in vinegar and water; for every cup of water there should be one tablespoon of vinegar.
