Accessories make the BEST gifts!

Think Stylish Accessories
It can be hard to buy a friend a piece of clothing, if you don't know the person's exact size. After all, you don't want to risk embarrassing her by gifting her something too big or too small. However, accessories really are one size fits all! The right accessories can tie just about any outfit together and reflect someone's personal style at the same time. Consider these items:
  • Cashmere scarf -- a timeless wrap
  • Leather handbag, black or brown -- the darker colors show less wear and tear
  • Diamond stud earrings -- if you're in the habit of handing out gemstones to your friends
  • Silk scarf -- can be worn in the hair, around the neck, or even tied to a handbag for a splash of color
THEN... When all else fails, THINK STYLE BOOKS! I highly recommend Shoeing the Fat for anyone who needs a little help finding their personal style. www.shekinamoore.com/products.html

Fashion Problems : Ill Fitting Bras

Q: Dear Style Team,
I am a busty woman but I love fashion. The issue is that I can never feel comfortable in a top because of my breasts. Can you help?

A: The answer to your question is simple. First things first, have you gotten measured? As women sometimes we feel like we know our bodies the best. The issue here is if you are a little off, it can be a complete nightmare and so uncomfortable. A great place that you can visit is Victoria's Secret or even the Bra Patch so that a professional maybe able to help you. You can find a bra minimizer for the tops that you want to be conservative in or a push-up for the tops where you want to be ultra sexy.

Bob on the Surface

It is getting hotter and hotter as the days go on and your long flowing hair maybe adding to it. An option that you have is to cut your hair into a bob or maybe even shorter. A longer bob, called a lob, is a option for a woman who doesn't want to take too much off. An asymmetrical bob is perfect for a fresh, young and chic look. An extremely edgy woman would shine with a pixie cut ala Victoria Beckham.
Try the trend today, it's just hair it will grow back......

Boy Oh Boy !

It seems that it is fashionable to be a boy when you are a girl. Actually what is happening is the style of the 1990's is making its way back. Lots of baggy and ripped jeans with flannel shirts. The twist now is that the style is a bit more glammed up. This is not for everyone woman's taste but it would be fun to try it out.

Show Them Your Good Hand !

As fashionistas, we understand that we must look good from head to toe. Our hair needs to be in place and outfit just right but another important part of our look is our nails. The design and color of our nails can express who we are. They also can make an impression if not done right or not done at all. Here are a few tips: When going on a job interview, wear nude colored nails. They look polished and professional. When you are going out, wear crazy nails. This is the time that leopard print and glitter nails are appropriate. For an instant classic look but still young and edgy, try black nails. They can be worn at almost any event.

Twiggy

Twiggy was a model and a fashion icon in the 60's. She took the Mod fashion movement into the mainstream. Her makeup was always flawless and here is how you can get this look:
  1. Use a white shadow as the base on your eye lid.
  2. Then take a flat brush with black shadow and line the crease of your eye.
  3. Line your upper lash line with black liner and wing it out at the end.
  4. Take white liner and line your lower lash line with it.
  5. The last and most important step for the eyes are the lashes. Buy fake lashes for the upper and lower lash. Then put on ton of mascara.
  6. Apply peach colored blush on the apple of your cheeks.
  7. Wear nude lipstick to pull the look together.
And now go off and show how rad you look !!

Harsh Weather Fixers

This cold weather can take a toll on your beauty. No need to worry, we have fixers for you. Wear chap stick every day even if you are wearing lip gloss or lipstick. Another tip is to condition your hair once a week with a deep conditioning mask. After you apply the mask, put heat on your hair for the first 2 minutes. Let it sit for another 15 minutes then wash it out.  Also invest it Shea butter, it works wonders for your skin during this cold climate and it will last a long time. Rub A&D ointment to your feet and put socks on them at night.
